Dre (Born as Andre Walton) was born in Orange County, CA to a German mother and an American Indian father. He grew up in Yorba Linda with his parents and sister. He was introduced to Christian hip hop by his older sisters friends who emceed in "Open Hearts" & "Speach Impediments". As Dre grew up with them he learned a lot through each group and at the age of twelve he decided to try it out himself. For the next two years, he went hard at work in fulfilling his dreams of becoming a writer/performer/producer. After the two years, Dre tightened up his writing and started finding other talented individuals and began connecting, building relationships and recording music with them. After another year or so, Dre saw a very unique kid with a lot of talent that stood out above the rest. This somebody was a childhood friend named David Vo that Dre knew almost his whole life. The two became the new "Risen Tunes" and are still at it today with 1 EP and 1 LP under their belts. Dre states his musical roots are hip-hop, rock, pop & R&B, all of which are apparent in Risen Tunes. He has also stated the following, "I want to make music in the best quality I can for the listening ear. Involving a Christian message through the music, I don't necessarily want to force-feed my message in any way. There is no need to make the listener feel uncomfortable, but to show them Gods love for us and a beautiful relationship that awaits us."
Dre and David now reside in the So-Cal Riverside Area. They have invested in a studio in their own house. While they both spend hours in the studio working on Risen Tunes material, Dre produces for artists/groups such as Peace 586, Skribbal, Joel, Risen Tunes and many others as well!
