Risen Tunes is a HipHop/Rock group originated from the south side of California. Current members of the group consist of Dre & D-VO. Dre (known as emcee/producer/keyboardist) started the group in 2005 with former member Nathan Delong. In 2006, D-VO (known as an vocalist/emcee/guitarist) was set to be featured in one track for Risen Tunes. But after the success, decisions were made by Risen Tunes to have D-VO join the group. Since 2006, the group has release one EP, Originated From GOD (2006) & Electrik Youth EP (2009), as well as one studio LP, Voices of the People (2008). They are currently working on their new album due 2010.

Career - While recording their debut Album "Voices of the People" in 2006-2008, Risen Tunes released a few tracks from the album early enough to get them signed by an independent record label known as MFC Records. Risen Tunes were also featured on "The MFC Records Mixtape vol. 1" before they dropped the label a couple months after. In the recording process of their album, Risen Tunes were called to write a song for a Billion Dollar Company known as MonaVie. Also known for being the fastest home based business in history. Risen Tunes accepted, wrote and recorded "Monavie - The Anthem" (free download here) in a matter of hours. The song became an instant hit as downloads went crazy off the internet! The song gained them a trip to perform at a big convention for MonaVie in Utah. The group then released their debut album, "Voices of the People", on another independent record label known as LifeLite Records.

In May of 2009, MonaVie once again gave Risen Tunes a call and asked the group if they would make a song for their newest Energy Drink release known as "Emv". Risen Tunes again accepted and went straight to work and they gained another trip to Utah to perform at Monavie's biggest event of the year known as the 2009 Salt Lake City Super Regional. Risen Tunes' Single "EMV - The Anthem" was released on June 30th on their web site. Risen Tunes have stated that they are neither religious nor trying to convert people into becoming Christian in any sort of way, but rather, they plan to spread the message of God's word while gathering together and having fun doin it. Risen Tunes have continuously been gathering new fans at youth groups, summer camps, parties and conventions while touring all over California with Big artists such as Cookbook from L.A. Symphony, King (aka Kiz Charizmatic) & even Stellar Kart just to name a few. They have also toured in other states as far as Arizona & Utah. The group has appeared on some internet radio shows in the US and have done a couple interviews including an interview with HHU (also known as HipHopUnderground.com), who have also done interviews with P.O.D., Atmosphere, Pigeon John, Sage Francis, Skribbal and others. Their singles have been gaining a lot of success as well. "Don't Doubt Me" going to the number 3 spot on the Christian Rap charts at soundclick.com. "EMV - The Anthem" going to number 10. And "Monavie - The Anthem" going to number 7. Risen Tunes have promised to always put all their trust in God while believing He will guide the way. They have prided themselves on bringing the listening ear the best quality in what they have to offer. Risen Tunes have also stated that they are committed to working harder and making the most of each year that goes by as well as growing deeper in Christ, which plays a very important role in their lives.
